To comply with the requirements of the data
protection act, all computer backups should be encrypted, a point
most people don't realise. GBData uses military strength
encryption technology to make all of your data unreadable even to
the staff at GBData, before it leaves your computer. Read more

As part of the GBData service our servers will automatically send you
an email each time you complete a backup assuring you that your
data is safe.
Powerful restore functions
 Lost
all of your data or just accidentally deleted a file? Built
into the GBData software that you have been using to backup your
data, is probably the most powerful set of restore functions of any
Backup/Restore software, anywhere! You can simply perform a
complete backup, roll back to an earlier version of a file, select
files by type or date backed up.
Lost a whole PC?
Then we can create a backup disk (only if you provide the data key)
so that rather than waiting for the download over a couple of days,
you can have the DVD/CD or mobile hard disk the next day/same day by
courier.

UK Data Sites
We all know how the internet slows down in the
afternoon when accessing some sites, well GBData has its own data
centre located in the UK, to help avoid this. We don't sell
other peoples service, or rent space from foreign bulk storage
suppliers. We run our own data centre located in the UK. We use tier one
Internet access service providers and business class permanent internet access lines
to avoid loss of service. The location itself is security
protected and access restricted.
Combined local & online backup with
Free external Hard Drive
GBData client software has the option to both
backup online to our secure servers, and keep a copy of the most
recent backup locally, say on an external hard drive. This
provides the best of both Worlds, automated backups, fast restores
even when the internet is down and secure off site storage of
multiple copies of all your files. We even offer a scheme that
